At Curated Kitchen & Bath we design timeless kitchen and bath interiors that are as functional as they are beautiful — tailored to reflect your unique style and enhance the way you live.


With over 30 years of combined experience, our team brings expertise, craftsmanship, and a thoughtful, curated approach to every project. From concept to completion, We collaborate with homeowners and general contractors to create spaces that are both inspiring and practical. Servicing clients from Los Angeles to Santa Barbara,  we proudly serve clients throughout the region with creativity, care, and a deep love for great design.

Our Founders

Alia and Mayreen have worked together and collaborated on interior design projects for over a decade. After years of working together professionally, they recognized that their combined creativity, experience, and vision could offer something truly unique to their clients. This shared belief inspired them to launch Curated Kitchen & Bath.

Alia Marks

Alia's fervor for interior design is rooted in a singularly unique upbringing, having been immersed in a diverse tapestry of design philosophies across various locations.  From her Kansas roots, to living internationally, and now living in Los Angeles, Alia's experiences of designing different styles has significantly enriched her aesthetic palette.  It has fostered an eclectic appreciation for interior styles that span from the timeless elegance of country classic to the sleek sophistication of modern contemporary.


After establishing herself in Los Angeles, Alia refined her craft at the prestigious UCLA School of Interior Design. Since then, Alia has owned her own interior design firm and has continued to build her clientele for more than 25 years.  She realized that her love for kitchen and bathroom design is where she wanted to put her focus and proceeded to move her business in that direction. 


In 2024 Alia decided that two designers are better than one, and partnered with her long-time colleague, Mayreen Burk, to start Curated Kitchen and Bath.  Alia’s passion and experience shines in the art of renovating kitchens and bathrooms to ensure that each project is a testament to her clients' discerning tastes and her commitment to excellence.


Mayreen Burk

Design has always been about connection for Mayreen, connecting people with spaces that feel like home. After years of designing luxury residences with Lonni Paul Design and collaborating with brands such as PetitNEST and Pottery Barn, she launched her own practice, specializing in residential interiors with a focus on kitchens, baths, and select commercial projects.


In addition to her own design firm, Mayreen has also shared a creative partnership with Alia, collaborating on a wide range of projects that blend their distinct perspectives and complementary strengths. Their long-standing collaboration has become a source of inspiration and growth, shaping Mayreen’s approach to design and deepening her belief in the power of thoughtful collaboration.


Along with her design background, she brings experience as a business owner, having co-owned and managed a company with her husband. Now, as cofounder of Curated Kitchen and Bath, Mayreen brings her design expertise and refined aesthetic to every project while also overseeing the business side of the studio.



Mayreen continues to approach each project with the same passion that has guided her throughout her career, helping clients create interiors that feel both timeless and deeply personal.

Jane

Junior Designer & Assistant


Jane grew up surrounded by both creativity and ambition. With a father who ran his own business and a mother who taught art and art history, she naturally developed a passion to help create spaces for people that reflect their personalities and enhance their daily lives.


With a background in interior design, digital design communication, and marketing, Jane blends creativity with technical expertise—bringing ideas to life through both artistic and digital design tools. Jane is grateful to be part of a team that shares her love for creativity, collaboration, and designing spaces that truly feel like home.

Rebecca

Junior Designer


Rebecca grew up with a love of all things creative. She has always valued pursuing her passions and taking the path less traveled. Her love of decorating and design started as early as she can remember. She has always been fascinated by beautiful spaces, as well as spaces that were out of the ordinary.


Rebecca believes that your surroundings directly impact your mood and quality of life. She is always imagining how a space can transform into something more beautiful and functional. She loves the peace and serenity a beautifully designed space can make you feel. We deserve to feel our best! Rebecca absolutely loves working for Curated Kitchen and Bath and is thankful to be working in a field where she gets to exercise her creativity every day.

Grace

Architectural Plan Specialist 


In search of an outlet to express her creativity and organized thinking, Grace stumbled upon the architecture field, where she explored a world of intricate structure. She found a love for all things residential, finding harmony in interior and exterior planning and investigating the branches of design it has to offer.


A serendipitous event led Grace to be a part of Valencia Interior Design, and she is incredibly grateful for the opportunities she has received. While simultaneously pursuing her bachelor's degree in Architecture, Grace strives to contribute to this team of hard-working women who have a passion for design and bringing life into the interior spaces of all clients.
